SHIP STORE INVENTORY POLICY - Additional ship's store items will no longer be purchased in advance. Orders will now be based only on your incoming requests.

NEW ITEMS - Through a local source just about any garment item can be obtained and embroidered. Or, if you have an item you purchased yourself, and would like to get it embroidered, it is possible. Let me know what you have, and I'll let you know if it can be done.

T-Shirts - Presently, none on hand. The T-shirts we had at the Reno reunion with the logo from the original ship commissioning program in 1945 (see below) were very popular, and some have asked for more. There is also the possibility to have a silk screened one with Sabalo ship’s patches, or with the art work from the 2007 Reunion Program. If you want more shirts, please make you desires known. If there are enough requests another batch will be procured.

OFFICERS - Embroidered items can have the dolphins done with three shades of gold used on any article instead of the silver in the item examples below.

Any amounts over the actual cost of production of Ship's Store items are used to offset the costs of maintaining this web site, and for communcations to shipmates who don't have email.

The latest version of the ship’s patch for Sabalo has finally been produced.

I humbly apologize for the long time it has taken to have these available. Although there were some problems related to proper art work for production, the majority of delay was my own procrastination.

I hope you will enjoy this version which has a detailed version of the dolphin insignia. While the colors are those of the enlisted version (silver), it is possible some could be produced with gold thread if a minimum order quantity might be in demand. Should the demand be relatively small, then cost might be prohibitive. Anyone wishing a gold version should contact me and I’ll keep a list to see if it would be feasible.

A wheel book* for the discrimating Sabalo sailor!

If you can't remember what a 'wheel' book is:
*Wheel Book = The government had in its inventory for all agencies and branches of service, small, green, semi hard cover note books with the word "Memoranda" in script diagonally across the cover. Anyone carrying such a book around in their shirt pocket had the slang title given of 'Big Wheel', hence it was called a 'wheel book'.
